About the Campaign
4x4xbye is a campaign to encourage users of 4x4’s and SUV’s to think again. Supporters spread the word about the campaign in three ways:
- they use the car sticker and give a friendly wave “goodbye” (ideally smiling at the same time) to drivers of 4x4’s and SUVs
- supporters of the campaign tell their friends about the site
- where they can, supporters can put links to the 4x4xbye.co.uk site on their own websites, message boards and emails
We know that if enough people join in with the campaign, we can sensitise the drivers of these anti-social vehicles to the problems they cause and we can shame them into changing their vehicles.
Ultimately, we’d like to see the gratuitous use of 4x4’s and SUV’s stopped altogether.
Who is behind the campaign?
There is no organisation or pressure group behind 4x4xbye. The site was set up by a small group of individuals in the UK who would like to see 4x4’s used in a more socially and environmentally responsible way.
